ESCAPE JOURNEY PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT & LIABILITY WAIVER

Please read carefully before signing. This is a legally binding agreement.

1. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

By signing this agreement, I confirm that:
- I am at least 18 years old OR I am a parent/legal guardian signing on behalf of a minor.
- I am physically and mentally able to participate in the escape room experience.
- I understand this experience may involve physical activity, mild exertion, loud noises, 
dim lighting, confined spaces, and other immersive elements.
- I will follow all rules, safety instructions, and staff directions at all times.

2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I acknowledge that:
- Escape rooms have inherent risks, including but not limited to accidental falls, contact 
with objects, tripping hazards, and mental stress.
- Staff actively monitor games to provide hints, ensure player safety, and address any 
unexpected technical issues as quickly as possible.
- In case of an emergency, I may exit at any time using clearly marked emergency exits.

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages I may 
experience while participating in this activity.

3. RELEASE OF LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Escape Journey LLC, its 
owners, employees, affiliates, and landlords from any and all liability, claims, or 
damages related to:
- Personal injury, illness, or property damage arising from participation.
- Emotional distress or psychological harm due to the immersive nature of the experience.

I agree to indemnify and defend Escape Journey against any claims resulting from my 
actions during participation.

4. RULES & CONDUCT AGREEMENT

I understand that:
- I will not use excessive force on props, furniture, or decorations.
- I will not engage in reckless, aggressive, or disruptive behavior.
- I will not bring alcohol or drugs into the facility.
- I will not take photos or videos of puzzles/clues inside the rooms.
(Selfies or family photos are fine, just don't spoil the surprise!)

Failure to follow these rules may result in immediate removal without refund.

5. MEDIA RELEASE (Optional)

I grant Escape Journey permission to:
- Use photos/videos taken during my participation for promotional purposes.
- Share content on social media, the company website, and marketing materials.

6. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
---------------------------------------------------------
- All bookings are non-refundable unless canceled at least **48 hours** in advance.
- Late arrivals may result in a shortened game or forfeited session without refund.
